In what may become a repeating custom, dance-punk legends LCD Soundsystem have as soon as again recorded and released live versions of some past material, possibly to tide fans over while waiting for their next correct album. This may not make them lots of brand-new admirers, however their devoted fans are the ones this album is meant for, and they will no doubt consume it up. Where Electric Lady Sessions finds its merit, while still being obstructed by the absence of new product, remains in the spirit the band brings with them, sounding simultaneously carefree and yet extremely devoted on producing magic once again. There was little doubt that the product on here would be excellent these are still mainly LCD Soundsystem songs, despite where or how they are being translated, and the talent that got the band all their critical praise is still obvious in their virtuosity.
The album was launched in collaboration with Pledgemusic and it was promoted with series of singles throughout Drip Harder is a job that shows the sonic bond between the duo.
